Favorite player, iPhone Duo, confirmation before deleting
- Optimized for iPhone Duo: closed, Mobile MA is the iPhone app you know. Open, you get the large layout with a sidebar, and Now Playing shows player and queue at a glance. Fold and unfold whenever you like – your view stays put, and artwork and grids line up with the hinge.
- Favorite player: pick a favorite under Settings › Playback or right in the players view (star). When you start music in the app, it counts down briefly (3 seconds, adjustable) and playback begins on that player. Tap Stop and choose as before.
- New first run: on first launch, Mobile MA guides you to your server in four steps, whether at home on Wi‑Fi, via your own address or through Home Assistant Link – or as a guest with a code, or with your access from iCloud. If something fails, the app tells you why and shows the error log on request.
- Confirmation before deleting: removing tracks from playlists, connection profiles, DSP presets, bookmarks, alarms and other delete actions now ask before anything disappears.
- Music Assistant 2.11 (beta): your device now registers itself as a player with the server – permanently and encrypted, with nothing to set up. Status in the app: “Encrypted and paired”. If it doesn’t happen automatically, go to Settings › Playback › Pairing Token.
- A pause from another client (web UI, Home Assistant, Mac app) stops the local player immediately instead of playing on for a few seconds.
- Search: the search field stays in place after closing the cover view from a podcast.
- CarPlay: the favorites chooser can always be dismissed with “Cancel”, and a failed favorite is briefly reported – including the reason, for example “no connection”.
- Connection: after a drop the app reconnects once instead of several times in parallel; commands no longer get lost in that moment.
- Diagnostics: the recording now also logs library commands (favorites, played marks) with their outcome.
- Sign-in: with a wrong password you land right back at sign-in instead of the address.
- Continue Listening: audiobooks and podcasts now pick up at the saved position even when the server starts from the beginning – the app checks after the start and jumps there itself.
