Biggest bugfix release yet: around 40 fixes, source priority, podcast scenes, encrypted playback
- The biggest bugfix release Mobile MA has ever had: a full test pass on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Watch plus your support mails surfaced around 40 bugs. All of them are fixed, plus four requests from support.
- Source priority: under Playback › Sources you choose which music source wins for items that several providers offer, for example your local library over the streaming service.
- Scenes: podcast scenes can hold several podcasts; the latest episodes play one after another.
- Home: every section page (Forgotten tracks, Most played, …) has a Play All button at the top right.
- CarPlay: “Ask Siri to play music” at the top of the home screen shows example phrases with names from your library; the Queue button on the Now Playing screen shows what is coming up from the current track.
- Encrypted playback: the audio stream to your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV as a player is encrypted from Music Assistant 2.10 on. Older servers keep working unchanged, the stream just stays unencrypted there. Note: after the update Music Assistant lists your device as a new player. Please reassign groups and player settings once; you can remove the old entry in Music Assistant.
- Unlimited: owners were temporarily treated as free users (purchase prompt on theme switch, theme fell back). An empty App Store answer no longer takes the purchase away; it is only revoked on an actual refund.
- Local player: disappeared on Music Assistant 2.11 (beta) because the server rejects the old sign-in – the app now switches to the encrypted sign-in automatically. No more cut-off track endings when the server restarts the stream on a sample-rate change; faster start at track changes.
- Stability: returning from the background after quick tab switches is hardened (reported crash).
- Playback: Previous jumps to the previous track; smart playlists start at track one and can be deleted.
- Paywall: no longer opens invisibly behind sheets and names the feature in question; corrected texts for app icon and Apple TV handoff.
- Favorites: the heart in Listen Later and on a playing podcast is right; favoriting a podcast no longer fails.
- What’s New opens again from Settings.
- Apple Watch: shows the iPhone as a player and the current state after a restart.
- Apple TV: player picker closes cleanly, user name instead of token, readable titles, focus stays in the tab bar.
- iPad: AI Radio in the sidebar too, page titles for playlists, popover arrows point at their buttons.
- CarPlay: covers in Recently added albums on the first open.
- Small things: German texts in diagnostics and search, consistent ambient sound names, scene titles in the app language, last tab restored after restart, large text without wrapping, clearer errors for AI suggestions and track lists.
- Music Assistant log: no more warnings about the Mobile MA player (“non-compliant client”, “Invalid command ai_radio”).
