Groups, scenes with any media type, Opus & color worlds
- Mac: Mobile MA is now available for the Mac as well – as a dedicated app on the Mac App Store with a sidebar, keyboard shortcuts, widgets and a player in the menu bar; your Unlimited purchase applies there too (macOS 26 or later)
- Groups and scenes: “Rooms” are now “Groups” – they sit as targets next to the players in “Play on…”, reach your Apple TV via iCloud and can be chosen as a playback target there; scenes bring their own source and now play any media type – album, artist, track, radio station, podcast or audiobook
- Appearance: color world and typeface chosen separately, three new color worlds (Sunset, Lavender, Slate) and three new typefaces (Plus Jakarta Sans, Figtree, Oswald); widgets follow your theme with display font, accent and a calmer artwork background
- Library: provider filter as a chip bar above every list (Unlimited), podcasts, audiobooks, artists, playlists and radio stations added to the library without favoriting, player lists follow the visibility set in Music Assistant
- Local player: new quality tier “Data Saver (Opus)” – music on the go with about a tenth of the data; the chip in Now Playing shows the tier and the actual format
- Handling: Now Playing opens after choosing a player (can be turned off, then a hint with a jump target appears), sound waves on the speaker button, faster start, song title in the Apple Watch Smart Stack with a favorite key you can switch off, Continue Listening jumps to the remembered position – in CarPlay too
- Music Assistant 2.11 (beta): “Pre-orders” on Home with albums yet to be released (currently Apple Music), thumbs down, “Search on your services” in the album and track menus, stream address in connection diagnostics
- Fixes & stability: no stale Lock Screen for another player in the background, CarPlay playback errors on iOS 27 no longer quit the app, crash reports in the diagnostics recording, grid density no longer briefly falls back at launch
